Subgroups are set-up to further work on topics which e.g. may require specialized knowledge (LIMS, ELN, CSV) and thus may require involvement of non-bioanalytical member company representatives. Interest groups are set-up to facilitate EBF to work in fields which for some member companies are outside their scope. Membership from additional parties to interest groups is under consideration.
EBF(LIMS)
This team was set-up to share and discuss common issues experienced with the use LIMS's in general and with Watson LIMS in particular. The team reports back to the EBF closed member meeting via its chair person.
EBF-IGM (Interest Group Macromolecules)
EBF-IGM was founded in 2008 and will focus on the bioanalytical challenges related to the analysis of macromolecules in biological matrices. EBF-IGM has their own closed meetings (2/y) and a separate steering committee which regularly reports back to the EBF steering committee.
